ePROVIDE™ – online support for Clinical Outcome Assessments
At Mapi Research Trust, we believe that patients’ voice needs to be at the heart of clinical development and therapeutic care. As a non-profit organization, we promote the use of Clinical Outcomes Assessments (COAs) in studies, and encourage exchanges in the Patient-Centered Outcomes field between academics, pharmaceutical companies, and international organizations around the world. That at the very core of our efforts is the commitment to improve the lives of patients, caregivers and our communities. We do so by providing essential resources to researchers, clinicians, developers of novel treatments and regulators in furthering the acceptance and adoption of COAs.
ePROVIDE™ is the evolution of these resources by integrating knowledge, expertise and insight with a simple to access user interface. Enabling our subscribers to gain access to the tools to improve the lives of patients, ePROVIDE™ is an e-Commerce platform centralizing all its databases, COA request management, and COA instrument distribution.
What will be the new functionalities offered to ePROVIDE™’s clients?
- Personalized access
- Each client will be able to manage his subscriptions online;
- One unique access for all database content, including a powerful search engine allowing searches per type of content, if needed;
- The possibility to request COA licensing directly from their client account;
- Each client account will also include a collaborative space where that company’s individual employees can link up.
Mapi Research Trust is also preparing to launch its new database, PROINSIGHT™. This database gathers in one place published regulatory recommendations concerning use of COAs to determine treatment benefit and to inform drug approval.
For researchers or sponsors looking for information about available translations of a COA measure or wishing to develop new translations, ePROVIDE™ will enable to find out about:
- Existing translations, how they were developed (i.e., translation certificates), and how they can be made available and distributed,
- Copyright holders,
- The existence (or not) of an exclusivity of translation
- etc…
For researchers or sponsors willing to develop an end-point strategy or wishing to have more information about existing COA labeling claims in a specific therapeutic area or indication, or searching for the adequate measure for their study, ePROVIDE™ will help in identifying right outcomes by providing access to:
- PROLABELS™: Using the primary documents published by regulatory agencies, the database describes clinical studies and approved endpoints based on COAs. For each product with a successful COA Labeling Claim, the following information can be found: full detail and agency information on labeling claim; study design and endpoints, Marketing Application Holder, COAs used and available information on them, etc.
- PROINSIGHT™: This new database, as an option of PROLABELS™, describes concepts of interest as well as COA instruments if any, that should be included in clinical trials programs. Based on clinical and scientific guidance published by regulatory bodies, the following information can be retrieved per therapeutic indication according to the available information in the source documents: population of interest, design and statistical recommendations, technology, concept of interest, COA mentioned, etc.
- PROQOLID™:This database aims to identify and describe COAS (i.e., who is the author, the copyright holder, what is the purpose of the instrument, what are the characteristics of the measure, etc.).
Mapi Research Trust’s support team through PROVIDE™ and the Distribution Center of COA Measures to gain access to the questionnaires distributed by Mapi Research Trust.
The ePROVIDE™ service will be the scientific community’s foremost destination for Clinical Outcome Assessment data.
