The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust partners with Mapi Research Trust
April 18 - The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust entrusts Mapi Research Trust with the exclusive distribution and licensing of their Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) in substance use disorders: the SDS-Gossop and the SOWS-Gossop.
This collaboration includes two Patient-Reported Outcomes:
- The SDS-Gossop (Severity of Dependence Scale-Gossop) that measures the severity of psychological dependence on different types of drugs.
- The SOWS-Gossop (Short Opiate Withdrawal Scale-Gossop) that allows to evaluate opioid withdrawal symptom severity.
With this partnership, the SDS-Gossop and the SOWS-Gossop join the catalog of 800+ COAs distributed by Mapi Research Trust via its ePROVIDETM platform and the PROQOLIDTM COA database, the worldwide pre-eminent source of information on COAs. The rigorous and regular updates of COAs’ practical and scientific information in PROQOLIDTM help protect research integrity by ensuring proper use and scoring of COAs.
On behalf of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Mapi Research Trust will now manage all licensing requests for the SDS-Gossop and SOWS-Gossop and help further streamline delivery of permissions of use thanks to its expert services in COA management:
- The licensing support materials provided to COA users include the conditions of use, availability of translations and eCOAs, validation status and scoring guidance.
- Additional expertise from Mapi Research Trust in linguistic validation and electronic implementation enables the scientific community to easily use these COAs at a global scale and to safely compare data across countries and languages.
Chief Executive of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, David Bradley, said: “We provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK and aim to be a leader in improving health and wellbeing – locally, nationally and globally.
