As a pulmonary physician at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, for 32 years, Donald A. Mahler, MD provided out-patient and in-patient consultations, taught medical students, residents, and fellows, and performed clinical research in COPD. Presently, he is Emeritus Professor of Medicine at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, NH, and work at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH, where he is Director of Respiratory Services.
Dr. Mahler developed the Baseline and Transition Dyspnea Indexes (BDI-TDI). These questionnaires have been used in trials to assess the effects of various medications approved for treatment of COPD.
